Program Details

Program length: 16 months, new cohort every 4 months

Who We’re Looking For

Academic Requirements

A bachelor’s or associate degree from an accredited college or university or a minimum of 48
semester hours at such an institution.


Applicants’ official transcript must reflect a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (out of 4.0).
Required prerequisite coursework include:


1. Basic Science (one semester)
2. Anatomy and Physiology including a lab
3. College-level Mathematics or higher
(one semester)
4. College English (one semester)


The admissions committee will consider alternative classwork to satisfy course requirements on
a case-by-case basis.

How to Apply (Step‑by‑Step)

  • Complete your application (≈10–15 minutes).

  • Email supporting documents: transcripts, resume, ID, immunization records, etc...

  • Personal statement: Why sonography? (250–500 words).

  • Recommendations: 1-2 references from instructors or supervisors.

  • Interview: Virtual or on‑campus with admissions.

  • Decision: Usually within 2–3 weeks of completed file.

  • Program/lab fees: $150 per didactic semester

  • Books/supplies/uniforms: estimated $1000

  • Background check and drug screen: $250

Clinical Requirements & Compliance

Before clinical placement, students must have met site requirements:

  • Background check & drug screen

  • Current immunizations

  • TB screening

  • BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)

Transfer Credit & Prior Learning

  • We do not accept transfer credit for core sonography courses.
