Welcome to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program

Dear Students,

Welcome to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as your Program Director and instructor as you begin this exciting and rewarding professional journey.

For the past 25 years, I have served as a Program Director and ultrasound educator, and I continue to find tremendous fulfillment in teaching and mentoring future sonographers. Watching students grow in confidence, competence, and professionalism is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.

I am registered through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) in Abdomen, Breast, Vascular, and Obstetrics/Gynecology. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of West Florida, which has provided a strong foundation for my commitment to structured, student-centered learning.

Diagnostic medical ultrasound is a dynamic and highly respected profession that requires dedication, critical thinking, compassion, and technical skill. Throughout this program, you will be challenged academically and clinically, but you will also be supported every step of the way. My goal is not only to help you master the science and physics of ultrasound, but also to develop the professionalism and patient-care skills that define an exceptional sonographer.
